I'd noticed this spring that there were a lot of wild strawberry plants out in the fields and along the trails. This week I've noticed a lot of little red strawberries. Apparently the cultivated strawberries are early this year too, usually the farmers who let people pick their own strawberries don't open their fields until after the 4th of July but this year they're already going.
