I saw the most amazing thing today, a relative sent me some pictures of two white moose. I believe the pictures were taken between Van Buren and Caribou. Seeing one white moose would be a cause for celebration, seeing two and being able to take pictures of the event is extraordinary. I read somewhere that the chances of seeing an albino moose are 1 in 100,000, wonder what the odds of seeing two at once are. I saw a white fawn last summer in Old Town, and was told that a white buck had been seen in the area. I've never heard of a white moose in Maine. I've asked for permission to post a couple of pictures on this blog so maybe I'll be able to share it with you.
