Went to Presque Isle yesterday to see the hot air balloons, it's really a beautifull site. I'd never seen a hot air balloon other than on TV so I was impressed by the size of them, and how fast they get them ready and up in the air. The festival's called the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest, and this was the third year of the festival and they had 9 or 10 balloons participating. Since Aroostook County is home to two historic balloon flights, Double Eagle 2 the first transatlantic flight, and Rosie O'Grady the first solo transatlantic flight, having our own balloon festival in The County makes sense.
