I'd always wanted to grow sunflowers but haven't had much luck. Last year they never even came out of the ground, this year my wife started them indoors early in the spring and when planting time came I had a dozen or so nice plants. So nice the groundhogs ate most of them a couple days after I planted them.  However a few of them survived...
