Happy Moose?

It's been raining all day, the last day of Maine's "first of two part" hunting season for moose so I imagine at least some hunters stayed home today, a reprieve for some moose. Our local TV station keeps track of how many moose were killed and the count yesterday was around 750 or so. I don't hunt myself but come from a long line of hunters. I also come from a long line of trappers and fishermen, this is the Maine woods after all. A lot of the license fees these people, along with snowmobilers and ATV riders  pay go towards making sure I have trails to walk on and wildlife and undeveloped woodlands to photograph.
