I don't consider myself an artist or a photographer, I like to think of myself as a picture taker. I bring this up because every place I sell my pictures at has me listed as one or the other. I just take pictures of things around me that I like and hope that others will like them too. I'm always happy when someone buys one of my pictures because to me it means they liked what I saw enough to pay some of their hard earned money so they could have that picture in their home to enjoy. I get a big thrill out of knowing that someone bought one of my pictures because they thought it would make that perfect gift for Mom and Dad, their kid sister, their best friend, or old Uncle Frank. For me it's not about being the unappreciated photographer, or the starving artist, it's all about connecting with people, and maybe through my pictures helping them connect with someone else.
