It seems we've gotten enough snow and cold temps for the deer to be looking for their winter homes, so they are currently very active. I haven't been fortunate enough to actually see any of this movement, I see moose and deer tracks every time I go out but don't actually see any of the critters themselves. This time of year they're looking for spruce and pine tree forests they can better survive in because conifers keep the snow from reaching the ground allowing them to move around and forage for food.
